Scrapsketch Challenge

I came across the Scrap Sketch site when they were having a blog hop this weekend. They have some really great work over there! I decided I'd join in to get another page done for Hurley's album.
I've had these pictures cropped and ready to scrap for a few months now. I've started 3 different layouts and never liked any of them so didn't glue anything down. I was determined to make the sketch work for these pictures. I usually have Friends on while I scrap more for noise but it was raining for once so I just listened to the rain and I was mighty productive! I got this done in probably 20 minutes. The top right picture on the left page is a little bent...Hurley was playing with something and I looked and realized it was his picture! I had a nice new one ready to use but I thought I'd use the one with his special touch on it instead.
The title is from Pooh font cut at 2 inches. The border cut is Martha Stewart. I kept it simple because I have so many pictures of him I really want to get the album going!

Hurley's Puppy Scrapbook

These layouts were done awhile ago but I never got around to taking pictures and posting them.

The title for this was created in design studio with All Mixed Up. The circle was cut from George. I used Fiskars and Martha Stewart punches for the borders.

I think I used Alphalicious for the font on this one. The arrows are from Graphically Speaking. The arrows and "one" are embossed with the Swiss dots folder on the Cuttlebug.



I wanted to do a layout of the names we were considering for him. My boyfriend was set on Reese (from Terminator) and I really wanted Coach (I love the purses and thought it'd be a cute boy name). When I picked him up I thought of Hurley from Lost and it was perfect. It fits him perfectly! The circles and squares were cut from George....My expression always cuts scallops crooked and these circles were too. At first I was really mad but I kinda like the crooked look to them. The names were cut from Lyrical Letters.

21st Birthday Card

My good friend is turning 21 this week and this is the card I made to give her. I saw this layout from Mandy Ferg and I've been doing lots of cards like this because I absolutely love it.

The card bases is 9" by 4". The scallop border is Fiskars Threading Water punch. The pink paper is from DCWV Nana's Nursery Stack. Scallops were cut from Storybook at 2 1/2" (I think) and the circles were cut at 2". 21 was cut from Lyrical Letters at 2" and the martini glass is pop dotted from Cuttin Up at 2 1/2".

Wedding Guest Book

This is the guest book my sister, mom, sister-in-law, and I made for my other sister's wedding reception. Her & her husband got married in April in Anguilla (in the Caribbean) and the reception is next weekend. I apologize ahead of time that the pictures aren't the greatest. I'm rushing to get everything finished before I leave on Friday and just really wanted to get some pictures this weekend!

My mom is not very creative and really hates when we invite her to help but she did about 8 of these pages so we were very proud! Some we kept very simple and this was done in just 3 Saturdays.

We used the Bind It All at a local scrap store and I'm in love...As soon as I get back from MN I am ordering one!!!

This is the reception invitation and we tried following the color scheme for the most part. We did do some other colors as well but for the most part we used blue, brown, and tan.


It is is backwards order so this is the last page. I planned on rearranging them to show which pages I made but after spending 20 minutes cropping and uploading pictures, I'm done! :)

We used lots of the Coordinations paper from Joann's, lots of Cricut (too many cartridges to list), and lots of other goodies!! If you click on the pictures they get bigger so you can see more of the details.

Anguilla is in the British West Indies....That's the BWI...And we had a crab encounter...So he's more of a joke for my sister and brother-in-law.

The cover isn't quite done...I have the monogramming done with big chipboard letters that I still need to put on. The back cover is the same but with the brown and blue swapped. The brown is embossed with swirls but I don't think it shows well.

Diaper Cake & Card

A girl at work is due in August with her first child so we held a baby shower for her. Instead of just giving her diapers I offered to make a diaper cake and made a card to give her from everyone.
For the card, the two patterned papers are from the DCWV nursery stack. The frame is from Storybook and the onsie is from New Arrival. The stamp is SU!
I usually roll the diapers for the diaper cake but this time I wanted to try the fanning technique. I used this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7Fp18Lbmuw) for guidance. I started using the exact diaper count but then I realized some layers needed more or less so I just did what looked right. The animal on top is from Target.

Frames

I am totally obsessed with the pictures that my friend took of Anthony, Hurley, and I. I've had some large frames that I bought at Michael's years ago so I figured I would decorate those with some of the new pictures.

This one measures 11x14. You&me and the large heart were cut from Makin the Grade using Design Studio. The small hearts at the bottom are from Lyrical Letters.

This frame matches our bedroom scheme. The letters were cut from Alphalicious and the heart is from Lyrical Letters. The flower blossom is also from LL and the other branch-ey things are from Storybook. Those are idenical to the pattern on our duvet.

Some new cards...

Here are the latest cards I've made. I am in love with the Lyrical Letters cart especially with the frames that make a quick, cute card. The one below was for my boyfriend's mom's birthday...I cut the frame, added some rinestones and stamped and it was done! I also cut Mom from LL with the Jack Sprat feature.

I made this other card for my boyfriend's sister's birthday...I got the layout idea from http://jozzasblog.blogspot.com/. Check out her blog, she has some really cute stuff! The paper is from the DCWV Nursery stack. I love the glitter even though it doesn't really picture well! The scallop is cut from Mini Monograms and the cupcake stamp is Studio G.
